A full day workshop for the plateaued photographer.

What is this? It’s a full day workshop, specifically for wedding photographers, that’s all about you, not me. You won’t find any styled shoots, hero worship or gimmicky techniques here.

We’ll dive into your business – your work and who you are. We’ll identify the missing pieces and find your strengths and weaknesses. I want you to leave inspired and prepared to tackle the 2018 wedding season. I want to give you the direction to elevate your work and business to your potential.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row row_type=”row” use_row_as_full_screen_section=”no” type=”full_width” angled_section=”no” text_align=”left” background_image=”15380″ background_image_as_pattern=”with_pattern” css_animation=”” el_id=”faq”][vc_column][vc_accordion active_tab=”1″ collapsible=”yes” style=”accordion” el_class=”faq”][vc_accordion_tab title=”Why?”][vc_column_text]This industry is flooded with “good enough” photographers. Heck, it’s flooded with great photographers. How do you compete when everyone is the same? On price. And that sucks. You are more than a dollar amount. By honing your own style and making your work stand out, you will attract clients who want you and only you. That’s pretty awesome.[/vc_column_text][/vc_accordion_tab][vc_accordion_tab title=”What is this?”][vc_column_text]At the core, it’s a full day of intense critique of your work, the work of your peers, and other attendees.

In the weeks prior to the workshop, I will ask for very specific things from you and I will dive into your work and business. But instead of just critiquing your work based on its aesthetic, the goal is to identify your strengths and weaknesses, provide you with challenges to grow the areas that need work, and to find what makes YOU unique.[/vc_column_text][/vc_accordion_tab][vc_accordion_tab title=”Break it down for me. What will the process look like?”][vc_column_text]Before the workshop

  • I will ask you to send me very specific things related to your work – an in depth questionnaire about you, your business, your current clientele, your ideal clientele, what your clients love most about what you offer, etc. You will also dropbox me the images that we’ll be critiquing. I’ll send you more specific information related to what I need once you sign up!
  • I will dive in deep to your questions, your website, your blog (if you have one), and the photos you send for critique to identify where you are with your work, and what makes your work stand out.

At the workshop

  • We’ll talk composition, lighting, rules, breaking those rules, etc. On an image by image basis, we’ll discuss elevating the photos themselves. We’ll evaluate where you are and where you can grow with your photography and brand as a whole. This is all about helping you find and hone your voice.

[/vc_column_text][/vc_accordion_tab][vc_accordion_tab title=”When is the workshop?”][vc_column_text]May 9, 2018 in Reisterstown, MD. Time is TBD, but be prepared to spend the entire day (and possibly entire evening) with the group.[/vc_column_text][/vc_accordion_tab][vc_accordion_tab title=”Who is this workshop for?”][vc_column_text]This workshop is for wedding photographers of any skill level. Whether you’re newer or an advanced photographer, you will get a critique session catered specifically to where you are currently, and where you want to go.

This workshop will most benefit photographers who feels stuck – someone who feels like they’re doing the same thing every wedding and want to break from the routine, but need a push.

We will identify ways to push your work in the direction that leads to getting your ideal client, and thus make this amazing job even more fulfilling.[/vc_column_text][/vc_accordion_tab][vc_accordion_tab title=”My style is SO different from yours. Can I still benefit from this?” title_color=”#b9e2e1″][vc_column_text]Oh man, absolutely. The goal is not to make you more like me, it’s to make you a better you. My style of work fits my personality and my clients, but it’s not for everyone. Your ideal client is not the same as mine. You rock out what makes you you. That’s one of the biggest goals of this workshop – figure out who you are, what you have to say and to make you a stronger version of yourself.[/vc_column_text][/vc_accordion_tab][vc_accordion_tab title=”What’s the cost and what’s included?” title_color=”#38c0bf”][vc_column_text]For this first go-round the cost is going to be $750 and will include dinner on me, the in person group critique session (bring your notebook!), a personalized list of challenges, and an action plan to put it all in place.[/vc_column_text][/vc_accordion_tab][vc_accordion_tab title=”This sounds scary.” title_color=”#38c0bf”][vc_column_text]It can be. In 2016 I attended an intense workshop where they critiqued my work, pushed me and challenged me in ways I didn’t expect. I didn’t sleep for three days and I had an emotional breakdown on the last day. It is HARD. But it is worth it. I am a better person and photographer from that experience. If you are willing to be vulnerable and open your heart and mind to the process, it will be worth it a thousand times over.[/vc_column_text][/vc_accordion_tab][vc_accordion_tab title=”Why should I listen to you? (slash, who are you even?)” title_color=”#38c0bf”][vc_column_text]Well, you don’t need to listen to me if you don’t want to, but you probably wouldn’t have made it this far if you weren’t at least a little interested :)

To answer your question – you probably know of me as a wedding photographer, and I have been doing this for a while at this point. I’ve photographed over 250 weddings and grew this amazing little business for myself and my clients. But aside from that, I am an educator. I’ve been teaching part time on the college level for 10 years. It doesn’t pay well, but that’s not why I do it. I do it for the connection. The thing that I love the most about that part of my life is being able to really dive into the lives of my students and not just grow their skills but also enrich their lives. Many of my former students now have successful photography and videography businesses of their own. Teaching is one of my greatest passions and greatest strengths.

So to answer your question – you should listen to me because I care enough to make this more about you than about me.[/vc_column_text][/vc_accordion_tab][/vc_accordion][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row row_type=”row” use_row_as_full_screen_section=”yes” type=”full_width” angled_section=”no” text_align=”center” background_image=”15378″ background_image_as_pattern=”without_pattern” css_animation=””][vc_column css=”.vc_custom_1522371691243{margin-top: 50px !important;margin-bottom: 50px !important;}”][vc_column_text]
