Andrew and Jackie | Sunrise Trash the Dress Session | Cancun, Mexico

March 18, 2013 Andrew and Jackie | Sunrise Trash the Dress Session | Cancun, Mexico

I met Andrew and Jackie at 5:45 am the day after their wedding (if you missed it on Friday-click here) for their trash the dress session. I was up all night backing up and culling images, they were up late partying. We were a very sleepy group, but it was well worth sacrificing a bit of sleep for the early morning light. Here are just some of my favorites from their morning-after “trash the dress” session. To learn more about these sessions and my personal experience with doing one as a bride, click here.

Gorgeous.

I wasn’t able to get any dramatic photos with the sun setting over the water since the sun set over the resort, so I was happy to seize the opportunity to get those photos that morning instead. Same awesome effect. I LOVE the reflection of the sky in the water by their feet.

And the wind blowing her hair? Epic.

I’m also starting to play around with off-camera flash more often, and I’m loving the look.

Fun fact: all of those chairs back there with the towels laid out have books on them. Yep, people had already claimed their spots for the day before we had gotten outside for our session.

I just love the light here. Combine that with a gorgeous couple that’s totally in love… that’s what we call a photographer’s heaven.
