Beth and Josh were married this past weekend at the Frederick Douglass-Isaac Myers Maritime Museum! It was the perfect day and I’m so excited to share highlights on the blog!
The Couple
“Beth and Josh met in August 2016 through a mutual friend, The Internet. Both liked that each other could appreciate the outdoors. With Josh into backpacking while Beth enjoyed running and bicycling, a few months after meeting they took four days to bike pack the 185-mile C&O Towpath, from Cumberland, MD to Washington, D.C. A year later, they ventured into Shenandoah National Park and hiked nearly 100 miles over 9 days on the Appalachian Trail.
“In February 2020, Josh surprised Beth and took her to look at rings (Beth thought they were going to look at a wrist watch). Beth was SO CLOSE. But then the world shut down. The couple then focused their attention to raising a puppy during the pandemic. Milo!
“Beth and Josh decided they needed to get out of town and travel early in 2021. With strict travel rules in place, they decided they could easily and safely travel to a Sandals Resort, and chose Jamaica. During their first full day in Jamaica, Josh arranged an incredible day. Couples massages followed by a photoshoot. Beth thought the photoshoot was a bit out of character, but went with it. They took a bunch of photos together before Josh popped the big question on the beach! Josh arranged a private dinner on the beach to follow.”
The Wedding
Much like Beth and Josh’s engagement session, a good chunk of their wedding day was all about Milo! But before and after their sweet furry angel was there, we got to really focus on celebrating how awesome Beth and Josh are, individually and together. It was a beautiful day filled with lots of love and emotion, and ended with a killer party courtesy of DJ Mike Q! Here are just some of my favorites!
