Engagements

Back in 2011, I met Lindsey online on a little obscure(/s) website called TheKnot.com. We were both planning our weddings and were a part of a community of brides having destination weddings – and we both had weddings around the same time. Around that same time, Lindsey moved to Vermont, which is also where my mom’s family lives.

In 2012 when I was in Vermont visiting family, I asked Lindsey if she wanted to meet up. We spent the entire day together exploring Burlington, talking about everything and anything, and quickly deemed ourselves “Soul Twins.” We definitely had the “where have you been all my life?” moment, and it was THE BEST. From then on, any visit to Vermont involved time spent with my dear friend Lindsey. Over the years, our communication would wax and wane… but without question, we were always connected – to our Soul Twin.

A lot of life has happened for both of us in the last decade, leading to yet again, us finding ourselves not only both engaged, but engaged a week apart, and now getting married 3 weeks apart. It seems so fitting to be going through this process again together, this time both of us having grown so much as individuals, and as partners.

This past week, I had the honor of getting to visit Lindsey in her new-to-me city of Rochester and capture engagement photos with her fiancé Chris. Seeing the two of them together makes so much sense. Lindsey is vibrant and comfortable and herself in a way I had never yet experienced. I love the world they’ve created together, and I truly cherish the time we got to spend together this past week. I can’t wait to celebrate alongside them next year.

Lindsey and Chris’ engagement session features scenes around the George Eastman Museum, The PlayHouse // Swillburger, and Ontario Beach Park.

Love you so much, and it was amazing to watch you work and be your willing subject. Cannot wait to celebrate you and with you next year!! Looking forward to exchanging planning stories until then Biggest
