Sam and Paddy had the perfect wedding day. Every last detail was amazingly executed. Sam made the most stunning bride. And Paddy looked handsome as well. They had a record breaking bridal party coming in with 32 people including themselves and a lot of love all around them on their special day. These two incredibly beautiful people inside and out had the day they truly deserved to celebrate their special love. At only age 22 and 20, Sam and Paddy have already been together for almost 7 years. They’ve never dated anyone else, and they’ve never had to– they got it right the first time. I knew going into their wedding day that I really respected and admired these two, but as I learned more about them from the people around them as the day went on I learned that they are truly exceptional one of a kind people who go out of their way to make everyone in their lives feel loved and to help others. They’re truly a rare breed. The world needs more Samanthas and more Paddys.
Huge thanks to second shooter extraordinaire Jennifer Smutek for helping to capture their wedding day so beautifully! I’d also like to send a quick shout out to Lee of Clickspark Films for being an awesome buddy throughout the day to bounce ideas off of and to work with. So much fun!
I started off the day at Sam’s mom’s house to capture the girls getting ready. Lee and I tag teamed the details and with the help of his (much taller than either of us) intern Zach, we got these gorgeous shots of Sam’s dress outside.
Gorgeous, right? Yep. So glad we did that. Thanks again Zach!
As I mentioned in my intro paragraph, they had a record breaking bridal party. There are 12 bridesmaid dresses hung up here. TWELVE.
Sam has the most gorgeous wedding dress and I LOVE her momma’s dress too! Who knew mother of the bride dresses could be so stunning? I want this one for myself!
Sam was so calm and happy before the ceremony. She made such a beautiful bride.
Daddy daughter first looks always bring me to tears. How absolutely sweet is this moment? It’s even more special knowing that 8 years ago they were told he didn’t have very long to live and to get his affairs in order. Here he is 8 years later, happy and healthy, and proud to walk his baby girl down the aisle to the man of her dreams.
I am ridiculously proud of this shot. All five kids are looking AND smiling. I should win some sort of award for this.
Sam with her beautiful older sisters! Love this one.
While I was with the girls, Jen was with the guys at the church to capture them preparing for the day.
Once they were all dressed and ready to rock and roll they went across the street to Mountain Branch for some portraits.
Their ceremony was at the beautiful Mountain Christian Church.
Before entering the ceremony, Sam and the girls got ready in “the pretty room” at the church. I love this shot Jen snapped of Sam.
After their ceremony, Jen headed to Mountain Branch (just across the street, gotta love a quick drive!) to get photos of the reception details, and I took photos of a lot of people. :P
These two have such big, loving families!
After we finished up with family formals we headed over to Mountain Branch to finish up with the bridal party photos and get some of the bride and groom before it got too dark. We were a little crunched with time so we went back after dark and got some of my favorite images of all time!
Their reception decor was absolutely amazing. So elegant and so gorgeous! Fun fact: Paddy and his family are Cowboys fans. In Sam’s mom’s speech she joked (quite accurately) that Sam planned the greatest Purple Friday ever right under Paddy’s nose and he never once caught on ;)
They had a beautiful first dance…… hysterical speeches from all sides!
I love this series of images from Sam’s dance with her daddy. I can’t decide who looks more proud to be with whom in these shots. And I’m crying again.
Paddy and his momma Sean had a very sweet first dance again accompanied by lots of smiles and laughter!
I don’t normally include bouquet toss/garter toss images in my blog posts but these were too hilarious to not include.
Their friends and family were so much fun! The party was an absolute blast. As always, Jason Wallace from Absolute Entertainment kept the party going!
To close out an amazing night we hit the grounds after dark for some dramatic evening shots. I am so happy we did. These are all new faves!
Sam + Paddy, I hope you guys are having an amazing time in Aruba! You certainly deserve it! I hope that you have a long, happy, healthy marriage and continue to be as amazing as you are today forever!
xoxo,
Brea
