Karrianne + Steve | Jerusalem Mill Engagement Session

Engagements

I’ve been looking forward to this session for a while! Back in April when I did Kelly’s engagement session she told me about her best friend Karrianne who did her hair for her session! Karrianne was also engaged and contacted me shortly after Kelly’s session about photographing her own wedding! I met with Karri and Steve and we hit it off right away and I was so excited to work with them. The first time I photographed these two was at Kelly and Theo’s wedding – as they were both in the bridal party!

We originally scheduled this session for a week ago, but there was a threat of storms so we rescheduled for this weekend. It worked out better, in that the light was great and the skies were clear… but it was freezing. I’m talking cut right through you winds, chattering teeth, and numb hands. We escaped to the car a few times to warm up before going out for more photos.

These two were such troopers and I bet you can’t even tell that we were chilled to the bone! This session is one of my all time favorites from Jerusalem Mill – and I can’t wait for next October for their wedding at Ostertag Vistas!

Karrianne put together the most adorable Save the Date! It turned out so cute.2013-11-24_0013 2013-11-24_0014 2013-11-24_0015 2013-11-24_0016

It was absolutely. freezing. But these two were such pros.

Steve had to crouch down quite a bit to get to Karrianne’s level for this shot. She’s so tiny!

Such a beautiful couple!

LOVE this one! With Karri on the rock, she was at the perfect height.

This was the point that we were so cold that we couldn’t feel our hands, feet, ears… but you can’t even tell.

After warming up my hands so I could move my fingers enough to operate my camera, I took Karrianne’s ring out for a spin while they warmed up some more in the car. It’s so pretty!

After sufficiently warming up, we headed out for just a few more. I’m going to go ahead and say it was worth it :)

Yep. Worth it.

Karrianne + Steve, Thank you SO much for being troopers and bearing the cold with me on Sunday! Here’s hopin’ for somewhere between the blazing hot temperatures of October 4th this year and the freezing temperatures of your engagement session the next time we see each other ;)
