Best of 2013 | Rings!

Yesterday I kicked off my best of 2013 posts with Lifestyle images. Check that out if you missed it! Today’s post is focusing on the bling. I’ve mentioned many times on this blog that since getting engaged myself, I’ve become diamond and ring obsessed. That obsession has also carried over to photographing engagement and wedding rings. I LOVE photographing them, and getting a chance to use macro photography to get extra creative.

Let’s take a look at some of my favorite rings + ring shots from this year!

My first session of the year was in Annapolis – what better than finding a rope on the docks to showcase a beautiful ring and the nautical feel of the session?

I love the contrast here of Jamie’s beautiful ring and the dark purple flowers. 

A stunning ring and succulents – what’s better?

I have this shot as a canvas in my office – Shena’s ring is beyond stunning and the backlight was just perfection.

This has been a fan favorite all year! It’s also my dad’s favorite – which shouldn’t be a surprise. 

Sarah’s pearl engagement ring is as beautiful as it is unique!

I’ve been obsessed with Ashley’s ring since I first met her and her mom – the delicate pink flowers in these two shots make these some of my all time favorites. I couldn’t choose just one to post in this collection. 

I loved using Jim’s cover along with Katie’s engagement ring at their Naval Academy engagement session. I love halo engagement rings anyway but there’s just something about Jen’s that I love. It’s so sparkly and so clean. Karen and Thom designed their own invitations with the cutest little sketches of themselves. I had to incorporate them into some of the detail shots.
