I am so excited about this session! Amanda and Ryan had already done an engagement session last year when they were in Florida, so they already had nice daytime shots. When they told me they wanted to do their session with me in Baltimore, I figured we could do something a little different since they already had nice daytime photos – a night time engagement session! We planned on meeting a little while before sunset so we could get a good mix, but the majority of the photos being around sunset and after dark. Tuesday was a VERY weird day weather wise. It was already very dark out around 5 PM because it was so cloudy. So our pre-sunset photos weren’t quite what I was expecting. I had to use flash (rare) but I still love how these turned out!
After a few shots down by the AVAM, we hiked up Federal Hill. And I mean literally, we walked up the side of the hill instead of going up the stairs. They were sweet and didn’t make fun of me huffing and puffing – so out of breath and out of shape!
When we got up there– the sky was MAGICAL. Cloudy days make for amazing nights. I’m not going to bother to break these up with commentary because, well, they speak for themselves.
Ahhh… goosebumps, right? Add this amazing night and this beautiful couple and you get one crazy excited photographer!
We headed down across the street by the water outside the Rusty Scupper and got some more beautiful shots on the water and with the skyline!
I love this angle of the city! The colorful lights, Amanda’s gorgeousness, Ryan looking at her lovingly.. this one is a new fave!
On the way back to the cars we stopped at AVAM to get a few shots with the LOVE sign. For those who don’t know, the “V” in the sign is currently burned out. This makes me very upset. Thankfully I shoot here enough that I just stole the V from another shot ;) Gotta love photoshop!
Amanda and Ryan, I had a blast with you guys on Tuesday and thanks so much for being open to my crazy idea of a night-time engagement session! I had a lot of fun doing something a little more creative than normal for you guys and I hope you love it! Can’t wait for your wedding this August, it’s going to be AMAZING!
Every time I go to Baltimore Museum of Industry a letter is burned out. Why? Can’t they just be on top of these things? Anyway – these are gorgeous! These two are so stunning, and you even make Baltimore look good. ;-) Beautiful work as always, Brea! They should be super happy about these!
These are absolutely gorgeous! I love how you use light! Amazing work as always!
Oh man! I thought my favorites were going to be the ones at Fed Hill, then I saw the ones by the Rusty Scupper, and THEN I saw the ones in front of the love sign! Ahhh!! Can’t choose! They are all too good!!
you are so talented it’s insane! these are GORGEOUS, you really know how to set up some perfect lighting. that last shot is beyond amazing
