Intimate weddings and elopements hold a special place in my heart. My parents were married on a Tuesday in a rose garden, with just the two of them, my Uncle Tom and the officiant in attendance. Steve and I were married on a Monday on the island of Maui, our toes in the sand, surrounded by the people who gave us life. When Karla emailed me about her Tuesday wedding at Sherwood Gardens, I was so excited and couldn’t wait to be a part of such a beautiful and special moment. Karla and Allen drove down from New Jersey for their wedding, unbeknownst to anyone else in their lives. They were in love, had felt like they’d be married forever anyway, and were ready to make it official. Allen found Natalie, their officiant, and Karla found me. Their ceremony was so beautiful and emotional and the perfect way to start their lives together as husband and wife, and I am so happy I was able to be a part of it and share in their happy tears, unbridled joy, and capture these moments for them to share with their loved ones.
So beautiful! I think it is great they had their wedding just the way they wanted to!
What an intimate and beautiful thing. All they needed was each other. Congrats to Karla and Allen!
