Sherwood Gardens is my favorite place to shoot in early spring with all of the beautiful flowering trees and tulips. But what’s amazing is how beautiful it stays even after the famous tulips are gone. When I met Ali and Matt for their session on Friday, we were there just one day before the tulips would all be dug up, but the gardens were still beautiful and such a great place for their engagement session. Ali and Matt have a pretty awesome wedding date, they’ll be getting married this year on my 3rd wedding anniversary! When I first met Ali to talk about her wedding, Matt wasn’t able to make it, but I loved Ali and was so excited to work with her. She’s so sweet and so fun and I knew I would love spending time with her for their session and wedding day. I was excited to finally meet Matt, and their adorable pup, Gabby! (Also, shout out to Lauren, Matt’s sister and awesome engagement session dog-walker!)
Gabby is absolutely hysterical. She’s so sweet and shy… until she sees a squirrel. Then the strength of ten people couldn’t hold her back from trying to climb up a tree after them. It’s hilarious. I’ve never seen anything like it! There’s a(n absolutely awful) photo of this later on in the post.
I love these two, their happiness is contagious.
So is Gabby’s! Family photos! Not as easy as it looks…
Ali’s ring is STUNNING. Love.
I can’t look at this next photo without smiling. Here’s Gabby jumping after a squirrel. This wasn’t even half as high as she jumped. LOVE this one!!
Ali + Matt (and Gabby and Lauren) I had a blast with you guys on Friday and I can’t wait to hang out with you guys on the best possible day to get married :)
So pretty!! You always have the best light in your photos. These two look crazy happy together and I can’t wait to see what you do with their wedding!
Such a sweet session! Gorgeous couple!
