I first met Ashley over 20 years ago when we were teeny tiny elementary schoolers. I remember my first impression of Ashley was that she was fun, full of energy and always smiling– some things never change. I would never have imagined that one day I would be photographing her wedding and spending such an important day by her side. Ashley and Phil have a special love. It started with a smile. Phil saw Ashley in the hall at school, and was determined to make her smile. That one smile turned into nine years of love and one of the most beautiful wedding days I’ve ever had the pleasure of witnessing.
Ashley and Phil started their day off at The Westin Annapolis, getting ready with their closest friends and family.
Ashley’s dress was so elegant. Simple, but absolutely beautiful. Ashley’s dad wrote a sweet note that was placed in Ashley’s dress as her “something blue” Phil and Ashley exchanged cards and gifts before the wedding. Ashley’s gift was the beautiful diamond earrings shown above! STUNNING!!! Seriously Ash, too gorgeous. Jen and the guys headed over to London Town early and got some great shots of the groom and groomsmen. Phil was just radiating happiness all day. When we got to London Town, we made the guys hide inside while I got some gorgeous photos of the lovely ladies! I love the ombre mis-matched bridesmaid dresses! Gorgeous! There is also too much pretty in the next several photos! I am obsessed with all of Ashley’s bridals. She’s so stunning. Somebody knows how to rock the model face. Meanwhile Jen was capturing a double dose of cuteness! Time to get MARRIED!!! I LOVE this. SO EXCITED! This is Ashley’s “OMG WE’RE FINALLY MARRIED!” face! Such an awesome bridal party! After the ceremony we had a bit of a time crunch to get all of the photos we needed to get done finished… and we rocked that time crunch. I am obsessed with all of these portraits! The dinner tent so gorgeous. Everything was so beautifully executed. Ashley and Phil were introduced into the cocktail hour and went straight into their first dance. To kick off dinner, Ashley’s father had a wonderful welcome speech, and during the meal between courses, we had a beautiful speech from Ashley’s Maid of Honor and a hilarious speech from Phil’s Best Man. Towards the end of the dinner service I stole Ashley and Phil away for a few sunset shots. So glad we did these!! When we came back up since people were still eating, the father-daughter and mother-son dances were moved to the stage by the dinner tent with a gorgeous view of the sun setting over the water. Following the dances it was PARTY TIME!! And party they did!
Ashley and Phil, your wedding day was filled with so much love, laughter, and fun and I know it was the perfect reflection of your relationship so far and the many years of your marriage to come. Thank you so much for inviting me into your big day, I love you guys and I can’t wait to follow your journey together over the years!!!
