This Saturday, Sarah and Patrick were married a the Vandiver Inn on a very chilly April day. Despite a crazy forecast calling for both snow and rain, we ended up making the most of what turned out to be a beautiful day, celebrating the love of two best friends. During the best man speech, Daniel said “A good marriage is one where both people feel like they’re getting the better end of the deal” – to which Sarah and Patrick enthusiastically nodded. This sums up their love and their wedding perfectly. The pure joy of starting their lives together was an honor to witness.
There were so many beautiful moments and unique touches. Sarah wore a snowflake necklace that was a gift from Patrick, and was also incredibly appropriate given the snowfall that bookended the day. Their wedding was officiated by two federal judges, both of whom Patrick had worked for as a law clerk, and their ceremony had many musical numbers and personal readings shared by friends and family. Before heading out for the evening, the sun came out – just in time for the last photos of the day. In short, everything was perfect, and absolutely uniquely them.
