Teresa and Eric have been such a joy to work with – I’m sad that their wedding is now over. They’re some of the sweetest, most appreciative and wonderful people I’ve ever met. I’m thankful that I know them both. Eric and Teresa met in college at University of Maryland. As they tell it, they were destined to meet, as their lives intertwined so many ways academically and socially. It was only a matter of time.
From their wedding website: “Teresa and Eric’s first real conversation was a heated debate about women in the military. They argued for hours, sitting literally on the steps between Ellicott Hall and the dining hall and metaphorically between a die-hard feminist rock and a stubborn contrarian hard place. By the end of the evening (neither could have declared victory at the time, but history seems to have proven Teresa right), a lifelong friendship had been formed.
It wasn’t until a couple years later that Eric asked Teresa out, sending her a bouquet of roses. Unfortunately, the roses were almost certainly wilted by the time Teresa finally agreed a full week later! Still, good things come to those who wait. Teresa and Eric have been together ever since.
Now, after more than a decade of friendship and romance, this couple is finally turning a relationship that may already be considered a common-law marriage in 8 states into an official marriage in the state of Maryland.”
To even me, pretty much a stranger, this wedding felt like home. Teresa’s her friends are so sweet and so warm, I want to keep them! Eric’s groomsmen were wonderful to chat with, witty and funny to boot. The whole day you could feel the warmth and love. As the day started, there was a 50/50 chance of rain for the afternoon. Thankfully we made it through the pre-ceremony portraits with nothing more than a light drizzle. When it came time for the ceremony, we had to make a decision – inside or outside. The call was made to have it outside, and although we may have gotten a little wet – it was I think, the perfect testament to the love these two share. After thirteen years, there’s nothing that can shake them. Not even rain on your wedding day. Besides, it made the scene that much more romantic!
Eric and Teresa, thank you so much for inviting me to capture this important moment in your life. Without further ado, a few of my favorites from their day!

Teresa and Eric’s wedding colors are just GORGEOUS! Teresa is such a gorgeous bride and her wedding gown is so pretty! And WOW – those rainy night portraits are incredible, Brea! Those are truly magazine worthy – such fantastic work and such a beautiful wedding :)
What a beautiful wedding and a beautiful couple.. love the purple color, and LOVE those amazing photos in the rain.
Isn’t always just the saddest when you fall in love with totally amazing clients and then they go ahead and get married and now their wedding is over. Who do those people think they are?
It looks like they had a pretty awesome wedding though, so I guess you can’t really complain! Those night shots are freaking fantastic. I love the beads of rain that gathered on Eric’s suit during the ceremony and Teresa’s dress looks like it was made just for her… STUNNING. I love everything about this wedding!
The rainy night shots… Oh my word… This entire wedding is spectacular! I am nearly speechless! Beautiful job and such a gorgeous bride!
