Abby + Deep | Swan Harbor Farm Wedding | Havre de Grace, MD

August 29, 2018 Abby + Deep | Swan Harbor Farm Wedding | Havre de Grace, MD

I’m so excited to share Abby and Deep’s wedding at Swan Harbor Farm on the blog today – this is one I’ve been looking forward to for two years!!

The Proposal

I love all of the mishaps along the way – this is such a great story! From Abby: “We went to New Zealand together and spent 2 amazing weeks backpacking and driving from the top of the North island down to the South island. Deep snuck the ring in his wallet through security so I wouldn’t see it on the scanner. Then hid it in his sleeping bag while we backpacked. He tried numerous times to propose on the trip and they constantly got ruined. The first time we had brought a tripod and he wanted to photograph it on this amazing beach we randomly came across. Then it turns out his dad had given us a broken tripod and the wind kicked up so it didn’t happen there. Then we were doing this amazing walk on the Milford Track and it ended up raining all but our first day and we were just soaked and freezing. So then on the last day of our trip we went to Queenstown. We took this chairlift up on a mountain and Deep had told me he found some beautiful secluded hike. we searched for an hour and couldn’t find it and we had to get to dinner reservations so we left. Then we went to the beach to watch the sunset and he said he was then going to do it there but a large group of clearly drunk people decided to camp out right next to us. So then it was getting dark and we went to a different beach we had been to the day before. There was no one around and we just sat by the water talking about our relationship for long time. My foot went to sleep so I got up and then he got up with me and got down on one knee :)  afterwards he picked me up, lost his footing, and we promptly fell over laughing.”

The Wedding

Abby and Deep are probably one of the easiest couples I’ve ever photographed. They have so much fun together – you can tell that they’re not just a couple, but they’re also best friends. They have a ridiculous amount of inside jokes (so many, that apparently, when Deep dug up some artifacts from their early relationship, neither of them could decipher what some of them meant) – and they just constantly laugh together. But that’s not the only thing about these two that makes them special. During their vows they spoke about how they make each other better and the understanding that people change and life changes – they’ve changed together thus far (they’re high school sweethearts after all) and trust the changes to come. It was really beautiful to witness such a thoughtful, special love. Here are just a few of my favorites from Saturday.

Oh my goodness! That ring bearer sign had me cracking up! So cute! And that last frame, freaking magical! Teach me your ways!

How are you so good at this photography thing?! It’s kind of not fair. The birds in these photos… did you just order them up to fly overhead perfectly? So gorgeous. I love every single one of these photos and have looked at them all probably 5 times (promise I’m not creepy.)
