Sherri and Justin were married this past Saturday in a morning wedding at the Elkridge Furnace Inn and it was such a warm, family oriented day filled with so much love.
The Couple
From the bride: “Justin and I met when working at Hoyts Movie Theater when we were twenty years old (eleven years ago). Justin’s brother, Jason, was dating my friend Ashley (they are now married) and one day I went with her to hang out at their house for a friend’s birthday and Justin and I got to know each other better. He asked me out and our first date was at Capitol Raceway in Crofton. Five years ago we moved in with each other and two years ago (9/11/16) Justin proposed. I had just gotten home from work and walked in the door to hear John Legend’s “All of Me” playing, candles burning, and roses and rose pedals everywhere. Justin came from the stairs and got down on one knee. I was bawling – I was so surprised! I had not expected it at all. I didn’t even know that Justin bought a ring. He later told me that the night before, when we had gone out to dinner with my parents, he asked my dad for my hand in marriage. Justin later said that he wasn’t going to propose so quickly but he was worried that my mom wouldn’t be able to keep the secret lol.”
The Wedding
Sherri and Justin are such a sweet couple and we really enjoyed our time with them for their engagement session a few months ago (even if it was a bit warm out) and knew we’d have an amazing time for their wedding. Their love for their families (and their families’ love for them) was apparently through every step of the day. They love their nieces and nephews so much they had six kids in the wedding party! The kids stole the show during much of the day and you’ll see loads of adorable photos with them. There were so many emotional moments throughout the day, they even had me tearing up more than once. Sherri and Justin are truly two special people and it was an honor to capture their wedding day. Here are a few of our favorites!
