We were sure that Gaby and Ryan’s wedding at the American Visionary Art Museum was going to be one of our highlights of the year – and we were not disappointed! I’m so excited to share some of our favorites on the blog today.
The Couple
From the bride: “We met through a mutual friend who was visiting Ryan in Baltimore. Elisa, also a bridesmaid, was my “big” in my fraternity and close family friends with the Levensons. She invited me out with her while she was in town, and we had a wonderful time. Ryan tried to impress me with his dance moves, but to be honest, the only reason he even got my number was because he was new to the area and I felt compelled to introduce him to more people. Long story short, we ended up on a few dates, 3 years of long distance, and ultimately spending 3.5 years together until getting engaged in October of 2017. On a walk from our home in Federal Hill to my mother’s home in Fells Point for my brothers “surprise birthday party,” Ryan dropped on one knee near the science center a long the promenade and asked me to marry him! The party wasn’t for my brother, but was a surprise engagement party for us (everyone was surprised that day and only my dad, mom, and brother knew!) ”
The Wedding
Ryan and Gaby are just two amazing people. Immediately we clicked when we met, and I knew their priorities were in line with mine. They both have big families and they cared most about having an amazing experience with all the people they love in one place – and wanted someone to capture it all. Because they were so focused on the people around them, and trusted us completely, we were able to get some really amazing moments with their friends and families. I cried A LOT at this wedding. I teared up several times while Gaby was getting ready, SOBBED at points during the reception like a goober, and again while looking through the photos the next day. I remember at their engagement session, thinking how sweet it was to watch them and see how they express love. They both have a way of showing each other how loved they are without using words. This day was just an all out love fest – with each other, their families, and their friends. It was truly special to witness two people surrounded with so much love as they start out on the journey of marriage. Gaby and Ryan, you are the absolute best. Thank you for trusting us to preserve this day for you. Here are a few of my favorites.
