Wedding Day Doggies (and Kitties!) | Perspectives of a Wedding Photographer

April 17, 2020 Wedding Day Doggies (and Kitties!) | Perspectives of a Wedding Photographer

We love wedding day doggies! Your wedding is the one time in your life that everyone you love will be in one room. That’s why I love doing what I do. I get to give you tangible proof of the love in your life. Our pets are a huge part of our lives, our families and our hearts. Understandably, lots of couples want to find a way to include their furry friends in their big day!

The question is, how best to approach this? If you get ready at home, you can get ready with your furry buddies! But if you want them to be a part of your wedding there are lots of options available to you!

If your dog isn’t able to stay at the venue for the entire duration of the event, consider reaching out to Furever and Fur Always. They provide all sorts of services to take the stress and pressure off of you and your family. Transportation, wedding day styling for your doggie, photo assistance/handling, and more!

“Our favorite part of any wedding day is the initial reaction when the couple sees their pet.The joy and happiness is such a special moment to capture that they can cherish furever.” -Furever and Fur Always

Crystal got ready at her home, and home is where the kitty is! I love that we were able to get a quick shot of her with her buddy before getting dressed!

James and Kristen’s pup Gemma stole the show on their wedding day! Since they were married at a park, Gemma was able to be with us for most of the day, including the first look and ceremony.

Chris got ready in their home, and while he was pondering something likely very important, kitty just wanted attention.

Jen and Paul had a church ceremony and indoor reception, but that didn’t stop them from including their best boy Milton in some portraits in between.

Gabby and Max were also married outside and were able to have their best girls Jessie and Lola with them for portraits and the ceremony before they went off to doggy day care for the rest of the night.

Lola tried scooting to get at a pinecone on the ground during the ceremony that led to a ton of laughter.

She also greatly enjoyed getting her freedom afterwards and “walking” herself. Which looked more like a crazed sprint!

But you don’t always need to have an outdoor wedding to include your pup! Caitlin and Jeremy’s wedding was at the pet-friendly Hotel Monaco in Baltimore! Our friends at Furever and Fur Always provided daycare services for Sawyer and all of his friends.

We’re going to wrap up this post with some pictures of a v good boy. The one, the only, Bohdi. Bohdi’s parents, Steve and Jess, were married at Cylburn Arboretum and he got to come for head pats and belly rubs.
