Vendor Spotlight: Plan it Perfect

May 28, 2020 Vendor Spotlight: Plan it Perfect

Continuing our spotlight on our favorite friendors, today’s interview is with Rachel Hoffberger from Plan it Perfect! Rachel and I first met at a wedding in 2015 and she quickly became one of my top recommendations for planners. She’s an awesome person, incredibly professional, and attracts the same types of couples that we do: ones that want their wedding day to be truly unique.

And now on to the interview!

How long have you been in business?

Plan It Perfect was founded 16 years ago, and I took over the operations of the company 11 years ago.  I just celebrated the 10th anniversary of the first couple whose wedding I coordinated on my own!

How did you get into doing wedding and event planning?

My previous career was in Construction Management.  I really enjoyed the project management aspect of my job, but it lacked a certain creative outlet.  I had planned some events before, and I quickly realized how translatable my management skills were in events.  But the events would allow me to design and be creative.  It was a great fit for me!

What is it about weddings that you love most?

I love how weddings are a celebration of who two people are as a couple.  When the event really speaks to who that couple is, it warms my heart.

Describe your ideal client:

My ideal client is willing to have fun and be unique.  I’m not a fan of recreating something from Pinterest.  I’d like to work with someone who is able to get down to the heart of it all with me.

What makes your approach to planning unique?

I’m up for just about anything!  I will definitely let my clients know if something can’t be done, but I’m all about the odd requests and the unique styles.  There are no boundaries with me.

What is something you love to do outside of work?

Spending time outside with my family. I often get cooped up with work, but we make a concerted effort as a family to spend some time outside together when we can.  Whether it’s planting flowers, exploring waterfalls, or walking around the neighborhood, it’s all good for the soul.
