Shannon and Zach’s wedding at the Baltimore Basilica and the Winslow was such a joy-filled perfect celebration. I’m so excited to share the highlights today!

The Couple

From the couple: “We met in college! We moved into the same floor of a dorm freshman year. In college, we were in an honors program together and had lots of classes together which is how we got to know each other. Within a month of starting college, we started dating and ate at Chipotle and went bowling for our first date – Shannon Won! :). We were lucky enough to both get into University of Maryland medical school and we both have been studying there for the past 4 years and having tons of great adventures! Zach proposed to Shannon while on a hike in Loch Raven reservoir after many months of building up confidence to ask!”

The Wedding

I cannot properly express in words just how special this day was. Shannon and Zach are so sweet and so joy filled. This day was the perfect celebration and reflection of not just them as a couple but also as individuals. Every. Single. Person. at this wedding was over the moon with joy all day. What a testament to how special they are. I love Shannon and Zach’s love. I love how comfortable they are together, I love how they smile and laugh constantly and I LOVE that they constantly hug. Their love feels like a warm hug and it’s a beautiful thing to experience.

Shannon and Zach pivoted slightly with their 2021 wedding plans. Rather than having their original gathering of 100+ guests, they had their reception at The Winslow with just their closest friends and family – intending to party with everyone later in 2022 when it’s safer to gather on a larger scale.

Also, as a fun side note, nearly every person at this wedding was fully vaccinated – and I CRIED when the dance floor opened and everyone stormed the floor and started dancing. I needed this so badly. I’ve missed weddings so much, and this day was the perfect embodiment of why.
