Morgan and Brad’s Mt. Washington Mill Dye House wedding this past weekend was an absolute blast! Two and a half years after we originally met, we finally got them married!
The Couple
From the couple: “Morgan and Brad both went to UNC Chapel Hill. Brad was a year older on the swim team and Morgan was on the lacrosse team. We met one night at a swimmer house party almost 9 years ago right before summer break. We talked all night and over the next few weeks Brad looked for any excuse to keep the conversation going until we got back to Chapel Hill in the Fall. We saw each other our first night back on campus and a few weeks later Brad finally was able to convince Morgan to go out on a date with him! From there we never looked back. We dated long distance during Morgan’s senior year when Brad worked at his first job in Boston and eventually reunited when we both moved to D.C and haven’t left since.
“On Thanksgiving weekend in 2019, Brad proposed in Georgetown in a garden near Morgan’s first apartment in the city. We quickly planned a wedding for June, 2021 but decided to push it out a year due to Covid. While we didn’t get married that year, we did add a new member to our family when we picked up a 5 pound Mini Goldendoodle puppy. We are so excited to finally celebrate with all of our friends and family on May 21st, 2022!”
The Wedding
Over 900 days and 3 wedding dates later, Morgan and Brad are finally married! This past weekend we had the joy of being there with Brad and Morgan and their incredible families – and it was truly a blast. I think my favorite part of the day, and you’ll see it reflected in the photos – is how abundantly clear it was that Brad was having the best day of his life. His vows were incredible, he had the biggest grin on his face ALL day, and he couldn’t take his eyes off of his beautiful bride. It made this hopeless romantic’s heart soar. Here are just some of my favorites from their day.
