Skye and Aidan’s wedding this past weekend at the York Agriculture and Industrial Museum was the perfect celebration of their life together!

The Couple

Aidan and Skye met the beginning of Fall of 2016 like all modern romances, online (shout out to Bumble). Since then they’ve been through layoffs, illnesses, a pandemic, sharing a 1-bedroom apartment, buying their first home and more…getting stronger and stronger every time.

Aidan knew where he’d propose to Skye a couple months into dating. 5.5 years later he finally proposed on a cold January night on the Walnut Street Bridge in Harrisburg with a ring he designed. Skye joyfully said yes, ready to spend a life of mockery and financial ruin together, and they’ve been obsessing over the details for the last two and a half years.

They love going to the movies, singing along to ABBA, parodying songs for their cats, nerding out about art they see online and IRL, antiquing and being silly together. Their perfect evening is getting Taco Bell and binging The Traitors.

The Wedding

I’ve known Aidan since he took my video class in 2017. It was clear by the way he talked about Skye back then that they were end game, so needless to say I was SO EXCITED when I saw that they were engaged and even more so when they reached out about having me photograph their wedding. Skye and Aidan’s wedding was so uniquely special and uniquely them. The florals were done by Skye’s mom and her best friend, with some of the flowers even grown by the couple! Aidan did all of the design work for the wedding, including animations that were projected all over the reception space. They truly created a magical environment for a wonderful celebration.
