Amanda and Sean’s wedding this weekend was a WILD celebration filled with warmth and so much fun. Everything about this day was deliberate, thoughtful and meaningful, and it was an honor to witness and capture it all!
The Couple
From the bride: “Sean and Amanda met in a way that has become modern yet timeless: through Match.com. It all started when Amanda was browsing through profiles one evening. She stumbled upon Sean’s profile and was immediately drawn to his smile. His profile picture featured him alongside a young woman, who Amanda later learned was his sister, Teresa. This stood out to her because it hinted at a strong family bond, something she values.
“Intrigued, Amanda hit the “like” button, hoping for a connection. Meanwhile, Sean, looking to find someone special, was captivated by Amanda’s kind eyes and genuine smile. Excited for a new adventure, he liked her back.
“Their first date was July 20, 2019, at Uncle Julio’s, a local favorite known for their margaritas and endless chips and salsa. They met outside the restaurant, both a little nervous but excited. The conversation flowed as they shared stories and laughed over their shared love of sports and music. After dinner, they headed to Dave and Buster’s, where they played games and teased each other over friendly competition.
“Over the next four years, their relationship grew. They spent weekends with their families, watched and attended sporting events, and looked forward to their Sunday routine of lunch and scratch offs.”
The Proposal
“On the fourth anniversary of their first date, Sean planned something special. They returned to Uncle Julio’s, reminiscing about their first date and how far they had come. After dinner, Sean suggested a walk along the waterfront at Rio. As they reached a quiet spot, Sean got down on one knee and asked, “will you marry me?” Amanda said yes!
“Five years, a house, and countless memories later, Sean and Amanda are ready to embark on a new chapter as husband and wife. Their journey, which began with a simple “like” on Match.com, has led them to a lifetime of love and happiness.”
The Wedding
Amanda and Sean’s wedding day FELT good. It was fun, the people were wonderful, and everything they chose to do, they did with intention, making the entire day uniquely meaningful and special to them and their families. From the personalized notes at each place setting to each guest, to the unique song written and performed by friend of the couple Jenna Feeney for the father daughter dance, to the incredible entertainment – it was a really meaningful and special evening. I’m excited to share the highlights on the blog today!
