Weddings

Vikas and Dolly have a one of a kind, once in a lifetime kind of love – and their wedding was exactly the same. I’m so excited to share the highlights on the blog today!

The Couple

The year was 2020. The world was deep in a pandemic, and people were spending their days learning how to properly wash their hands (20 seconds, sing “Happy Birthday” twice), disinfecting their groceries like they were handling radioactive material, and—somehow—baking enough sourdough to last a lifetime.

It was, by all accounts, the worst time to meet new people. And yet, against all odds, Vikas and Dolly met each other over Zoom. Over their first few virtual dates, they realized that wi-fi wasn’t the only connection between them.

Then came the momentous first date. Vikas, ever the romantic, suggested something bold: a getaway to a remote cabin in Shenandoah Valley. Dolly doesn’t watch horror movies, so she agreed.

And so they met. No masks, no pixelated screens—just the two of them, finally in person. It could have been the fresh mountain air, the quiet serenity, or the sheer relief that neither of them turned out to be an axe murderer—but by the end of the weekend, one thing was clear: this was the start of something special.

Since then, their shared love of adventure has led them on many road trips together. And while they often get lost due to questionable navigation choices, they always end up exactly where they’re meant to be: together.

The Wedding

Dolly was born in Wuhan, China. Vikas was born in a small town in India. And yet they met in the US, during a global pandemic, while living several hours apart. The chances of them finding each other in this big beautiful world were so small, and yet they did. They found their way to their soulmate.

We absolutely loved being there to capture all of the love and joy on Saturday as their closest friends celebrated alongside them! Here are just some of our favorites!
