Weddings

Emilia and Sam’s Four Seasons Baltimore wedding was the perfect mix of stunning design and genuinely joyful energy. Between the stunning florals, the emotional moments, and one very fitting Monique Lhuillier “Emilia” gown, this day was such a fun one to capture.

The Couple

From the very beginning, Emilia and Sam just clicked. They met in New York City through Lox Club and have been inseparable ever since. Coming from a small family with no siblings, Emilia shared that one of the most meaningful parts of their relationship has been experiencing the closeness and love within Sam’s family. Watching the bond between siblings and becoming part of that dynamic has been incredibly special to her. Their engagement was just as thoughtful and personal as their relationship. Sam proposed in his apartment — the same place where they spent many of their early years together — filling it with candles, hydrangeas (Emilia’s favorite flowers), and a heartfelt card, because cards have always been meaningful to them as a couple. It was such a sweet, sentimental way to start this next chapter together.

The Wedding

I had such a wonderful time in New York this past winter for Emilia and Sam’s snowy engagement session, I have been looking forward to this wedding ever since. I knew it would be especially wonderful and I was not disappointed.

Every wedding is special because you’re surrounded by the people who love you most. Every so often, there are weddings where the couple has clearly cultivated an incredible community of friends, family, and chosen family. This was one of those weddings. Every single person there ADORED them. Like Emilia talked about in their story above, it was really sweet getting to see her with Sam’s family throughout the day. They clearly weren’t just becoming family — they were already besties. The same could absolutely be said for Emilia’s friends too. They were obsessed with her in the best way (people were literally posing for photos yelling “team Emi (and Sam!)”). Both Sam and Emilia’s parents were also incredibly sweet. The whole day just felt full of people who genuinely loved these two so much, and getting to witness and capture all of that was really special.

And then there were the details… Emilia wore a stunning Monique Lhuillier gown called the Emilia dress, which felt extremely fitting. Emilia the dress is gorgeous… Emilia the bride is also gorgeous. Emilia²? Triply so. The florals by Blue Vanda Designs were perfect, and the whole day was designed and planned by Andrew Scott, who the bride is absolutely obsessed with. Also, same.

We loved everything about this day — the huge floral installations, the gorgeous design, the emotional moments, the chaotic silly energy, all of it. Emilia and Sam somehow manage to be super classy, stunning together, and playfully silly all at the same time, which made this wedding such a fun one to photograph. I loved everything about this day and these people and I’m thrilled to share highlights on the blog today!
