Jessica + Michael | Maryland Jockey Club at Laurel Park Wedding Photos

Jess and Mike’s wedding this past weekend at Laurel Park Race Track was such an amazing day and I am excited to share highlights on the blog today.

The Couple

From the bride: “We met on Tinder in 2015-ish, texted for a few weeks, then the fling faded out-we never met in person. We both dated other people for a few years. One random night, Michael texts Jess asking “is this Jess?”; Jess answered, “Yes, whose this?” and the rest is history! One evening in 2020, Michael was going through his phone that night deleting phone numbers that he did not know. Something inside of him told him to text Jess’s number and we hung out the next weekend!

“Michael proposed on home plate in Camden Yards in May 2025 after coaching a high school all-star game. Michael called Jess down onto the field after the game was over to re-take our picture from years prior. Right before the picture was taken, Michael got down on one knee and proposed! He did not tell a single soul. Michael attempted to call Jess’s father from the Orioles dug out but her dad did not answer. No one knew except some of his players the day of. Jess’s parents were in attendance, however, had to leave early, before the proposal (because no one knew!) to take the long drive back to Frederick. Everyone was so surprised!!!”

The Wedding

Jess and Michael’s wedding was such a special and wonderful day. They are wonderful, their friends and family are wonderful, and we loved spending the day capturing all of the moments. But we also really really loved getting to check out a new venue! It was a bit of a wet day, but we didn’t even mind because there are so many awesome spots to take photos around the Clubhouse at the park. Here are just some of my favorites from their wedding day!
