October 31, 2010 Ryan and Sameeha – Engagement Shoot

Two of my best friends recently got engaged and I was thrilled when they asked me to do their engagement shoot. We went to Jerusalem Mill, where I do most of my sessions, but it was great to go there and work with adults! It's definitely a different dynamic. We got to explore some different spots that I haven't ventured to before, and we got some really beautiful shots with the fall foliage. It also helps that they're a very...

October 24, 2010 Busy Morning

This morning I met with two groups of one family for two back to back sessions at their farm. The morning started with just Bryson, mom and dad. Bryson was not in the mood for photos at all! We did manage to get some good stuff in between meltdowns. It was tough, but well worth it. Mom and Dad are really great. A little later, we were joined by Bryson's cousin Hudson and his family. Hudson was cooperative and did a great job. It...

October 16, 2010 Impromptu Engagement Shoot

Bryan and Rachel got engaged on vacation in Vermont this month at the top of a mountain! Today we did an impromptu engagement shoot while at Baugher's in Westminster picking pumpkins. I love how the photos turned out. Since the whole thing was kind of spontaneous, I caught them looking natural, and in a super-fun setting. I love these guys and I'm so excited for them! ...

August 30, 2010 Beautiful Family

Yesterday I had an evening session with this gorgeous family! They did a wonderful job for being such a big family! It was really tough getting a shot where all of them were looking at the camera and smiling. I think it only happened once! The rest of the family shots were edited together in Photoshop, taking the best look for each person and editing them together to make one great photo. One of the photos was 5 stitched together! When working with such a large group, this is absolutely necessary. I'm very pleased with how these shots turned out, and I think the session went wonderfully. The kids were great, and the parents were such nice people. I'd love to work with this family again! Click "Read More" to see the rest of my favorites from this session.

July 6, 2010 The Steinharters

Yesterday I did a shoot with my friend Elise, a former coworker of mine, and her family. They're an uncommonly gorgeous family and the photos turned out wonderfully! We got permission to shoot in their friend's neighbor's backyard which had all sorts of fun and cute furniture and setups to choose from! Looking at the photos you'd never guess this was the back yard of an average-sized single family home. Ahuva was such a pleasure to work with and a wonderfully happy baby! Ahuva was often distracted by the reflector (and Steve, who was holding it-- Elise says that Ahuva flirts with all the boys ;)) but Aunt Ruby was there to get her attention and her smiles.
