July 5, 2010 Happy Independence Day!
I hope everyone had a great holiday! We certainly did. Our fourth of July celebrations started on the first! Thursday night we went to Josh and Jamie‘s house and had a cookout and watched fireworks from their deck. I didn’t have my camera with me, but I did snap some shots of the fireworks and of baby Ethan (now 6 months!) on my new iPhone 4 and I’m pretty pleased considering they’re camera phone photos! Ethan is such a happy and gorgeous baby, and the iPhone does a great job!
Saturday we went to Laurel, Maryland and saw the beginning of their fireworks show, which was very impressive!
Sunday, on the Fourth of July we went to Oregon Ridge with some friends for the “Star Spangled Spectacular.” The Baltimore Symphony Orchestra put on a great concert which started around 8:00 with the firework show at 9:30. I brought along my camera to try photographing fireworks for the first time. I’m really pleased with the shots I did get considering I’d never worked in Bulb mode on my camera before that day.
Our weekend was fun-filled and full of patriotism! We were grateful to have Monday off to unwind and get back into the swing of things. I had two photo shoots on Monday and should be posting photos from those soon. Below are two of my favorite photos from the Star Spangled Spectacular.
