June 27, 2013 Ryan + Meghan | The Chelsea, Atlantic City Wedding
I am so excited to share this wedding. There’s something really really special about being able to photograph a wedding of close friends and family. In this case it’s the latter. Ryan is my husband Steve’s stepbrother and Meghan is the love of his life. These two have been perfect for each other since day one and we’ve all been anxiously awaiting this day. Their wedding was such a beautiful celebration of not only their marriage, but also Ryan, Meghan and Meghan’s son LJ officially becoming a family. I love these two and couldn’t be more happy for them!
They’re currently soaking up the sun in St. Croix and hopefully having the time of their lives!
We didn’t get the opportunity to do an engagement session before their wedding (but will be making up for that during our annual family trip to OBX in a month ;)) so I was extra excited to photograph Meghan’s gorgeous ring and even got a few of just the engagement ring on its own.
LJ got ready with the guys and Ryan, who is apparently an expert on menswear, helped him get dressed.
I love that LJ toasted with Apple juice :)
They did a private first look in a curtained off area prior to seeing the families and doing family portraits. Ryan kept saying “you’re so beautiful,” and my heart melted <3.
After the family portraits we headed out to the boardwalk for some fun with the bridal party!
I think this is extra hilarious since LJ is 100% normal:
Their ceremony was totally beautiful and perfect for them. I was sobbing behind my camera when LJ walked his mommy down the aisle. So sweet.
After the ceremony we headed out to the beach!
The reception set up was elegant and lovely. I loved the cocktail lounge feel to the space.
Ryan and Meghan entered the reception and went straight into their first dance to Jason Mraz’s I’m Yours.
And here is a personal favorite, my husband and his mother in the photobooth. Slightly terrifying, 100% hilarious. I love the reflection of the screen in Diane’s glasses.
Once the sun had set, I took Meghan and Ryan outside for some night time photos, after all, the neon lights of Atlantic City just BEG for night time photos. These are absolutely some of my favorites. The right image was up on the roof of The Chelsea.
Back inside it was time for the cake cutting. I hope my couples are taking note, THIS is how you do it.
After a couple of slow songs, the dance floor opened up and the party began! This little lovely lady on the right fell asleep being held during the electric slide!
Ryan and Meghan, Thank you so much for allowing me the honor to share in such a big part of your wedding day. You two are an amazing couple and I couldn’t be happier for you!
