I spent the better part of this week in Virginia Beach visiting with my wonderful friend Brandi! Unfortunately the weather was crappy (and from what I hear, not much different from Baltimore’s weather) and our beach plans were foiled. Thankfully we still had a great visit and I plan on going back down in August to make up for the lack of beachgoing this time :). The night before I left we went down to the boardwalk to do some family photos and the morning after we woke up super early for a sunrise beach session. Sunrise and kids do not normally mix, and Brooklyn was NOT happy with us for getting her up so early, but we got so many great shots anyway, you can hardly tell :)

Brandi is an aspiring event planner and styled their sessions in the cutest way! She’s a pro.

This was Brooklyn’s first experience with ice cream. She loved it!! How cute is that little face?

As I said we got up super early the next morning for their sunrise session. Brooklyn was not amused.

Like I said, not amused.

While my favorite sassypants was being unhappy, I got some smoochy-photos of her mommy and daddy.

And this is probably my favorite of the session :)

I love these people and I can’t wait to see them again! <3

    The balloon!!!! That is so beautiful! I love all the fun colors and literally everything about this shoot. This is the most photogenic family ever!

    Well, I may be a tad biased since I am Brandi’s mom, but I have seen photos taken of my beautiful family by many photographers; these photos are definitely some of the very best.

    What an adorable family! Brooklyn is just precious! I think Brandi will be a hit as an event planner :)
