Weekend Recap

This weekend was probably my busiest weekend of the year. I’ve had a bunch of double headers, but this weekend’s double headers were both quite far away, and not in the same direction. Add in two engagement sessions and I was on the road, shooting, or editing all weekend! And what an amazing weekend it was! Despite the crazy 90 degree heat in OCTOBER both weddings were absolutely beautiful and so much fun!

Friday’s wedding was at The Billingsley House in Upper Marlboro for a couple whom I adore. It was an amazing venue! I can only share small snippets of their day but there will definitely be more from this amazing wedding soon:

Saturday was Kelly + Theo‘s perfect, amazing, wonderful wedding day at Kitty Knight House! I can’t wait to share more of their wedding this week! Their first look had a bride, groom, and photographer all in tears!

And then Sunday I had two incredible engagement sessions! You’ll never believe that these two were shot in the same day.

I started my day off with Lisa and Mike at Piney Run Park, where it was incredibly foggy… which made for an amazing backdrop!

Oh, and we found a turtle while hiking, and I used him for a ring shot. Yep. That happened. lol

Amazing, right? I was really nervous about how foggy it was at first but it turned out awesome!

Sunday evening I met up with high school sweethearts Stephanie and Tony at their high school! Who would have thought a school would be such a great place for an engagement session? It was perfect.

So yeah, that was my weekend! It was awesome + crazy busy. Things are finally starting to slow down after the big rush of late summer/early fall weddings. I’m looking forward to things slowing down a bit so I can catch my breath and  take some me time. Despite all the crazy busy-ness, this has been an amazing ride and I feel so fortunate to have such amazing clients and colleagues! I truly love what I do!
