I’ve been looking forward to Shena and Bill’s wedding day all year. When I first met with them in January, we hit it off right away and I left with a huge smile on my face, even having to drive home in the snow in my husband’s Jeep, which I do not like driving. Their engagement session a few months ago was an absolute breeze and remains one of my favorites from this year. Shena and Bill’s wedding was one I looked forward to as a creative challenge, in that they didn’t want to see each other before the ceremony, and by the time the ceremony was over it would be after dark. I’ve spent this year working on my night photography and lighting– mostly with Shena and Bill’s wedding in mind, determined to make beautiful images for them, day or night. I couldn’t be more excited about how it all turned out!
Shena was an absolutely stunning bride, which should be a surprise to no one. She’s an amazingly beautiful girl, both inside and out. I started my day off with her at Preston Hall, the location for their reception, just across the street from the cathedral while she got ready with her closest girl friends.
I continue to love Shena’s ring a little bit too much. I have a canvas of an image of her ring from their engagement session on my office wall!
Absolutely stunning.
While I was with Shena and the girls, Jen met up with Bill and his guys at the Cathedral across the street. Bill was looking quite dapper!
The Greek Orthodox Cathedral of the Annunciation in Baltimore is absolutely beautiful– I’ve been looking forward to photographing here all year!
During the ceremony, Jen was going back and forth from the two balconies. I love the variety of the angles that we were able to get.
After the indoor bridal party photos, we headed outside where it was a chilly 40 degrees, and got some of these amazing night shots. I have to give it up for the girls, they were absolute troopers despite the cold temps and their bare arms!
LOVE those!
Then it was time for photos with the bride and groom. I am in love with how these turned out.
Since we didn’t have an opportunity to do Shena’s bridals earlier in the day, we did some in the courtyard as well, and these are some of my favorite bridal portraits ever.
I love this angle that Jen got with the street!
The reception decor was beautifully fall and nature themed. Every little thing tied in together perfectly.
After dinner and the cake cutting, the party was started with the Greek Bridal dance. Their reception was an incredibly fun mix of Greek and Irish tradition!
While I was in the thick of things on the floor, Jen was up on the balcony photographing from the top. Can you spot me? Jen and I joked that it’s like Where’s Waldo, but instead, Where’s Brea?
At 10:00 it was time for SHOTS!
After another set of the incredible band and the greek dancing, the DJ took a request from the bride and her cousin Siobhan and played Dropkick Murphys… and everyone threw down.
Shena and Bill, I have loved getting to know you guys and I am so happy that I was able to be a part of your big day. I hope you’re loving Vermont and have an amazing honeymoon!

What a great wedding! Love the photo of the ring in the amazing shoes and those gorgeous night portraits!
I love how these turned out! It was such a beautiful wedding! (I also think we should play “where’s Brea?” at every wedding.
The church is amazing and you did a great job with the lighting for the portraits afterwards! Such fun dancing shots too!
