Kasi + Ryan | Irvine Nature Center Engagement Session

Kasi and Ryan are an online dating success story. In Kasi’s first message to Ryan she told him that the photos on his dating profile were awful and that he needed to update it with more flattering and more recent photos. They began talking and it seems that her suggestion didn’t end up mattering, as they hit it off and quickly realized that they had each found the perfect person to spend the rest of their lives with. Ryan and Kasi will be tying the knot in April of next year at Thorpewood in Thurmont, MD and they wanted to get a similar naturey feel to their engagement session. I suggested that we go to the Irvine Nature Center, and I didn’t even need to finish describing the grounds before Kasi told me how perfect it was.

In the days leading up to their engagement session, Kasi and Ryan “practiced” being romantic. I laughed when they told me this, but I have to say, it’s brilliant! They were such naturals they made my job easy!

We started off the session trekking out to the overlook. I was very happy to see that the field had not been mowed over and we could take advantage of the beautiful tall grasses and wildflowers.

I am obsessed with these! Didn’t they totally nail the romantic poses?

So sweet.

There were only a few trees left with the amazing fall colors we were hoping for, and those trees were located in the parking lot. Parking lot or not, these are still some of my favorites.

The beautiful brightly colored leaves also made for the perfect setting to show off Kasi’s stunner of an engagement ring!

Kasi + Ryan, I had an awesome time hanging out with you guys on Friday and I’m so glad I don’t have to wait forever until the next time we see each other! Can’t wait for your wedding in April!
