This is the session that almost didn’t happen.

When I originally met with Kristen and Joe to chat about their wedding and plan their engagement session, we discussed the best times to do an engagement session and I tried to talk them into waiting until it gets warmer. Let’s be honest, it’s so darn cold and miserable right now. Then they mentioned wanting to do photos with the lights in Hampden, and I changed my tune immediately. How cool would that be!? We picked a date, and when it came around, torrential downpours all day. So we picked a back up date. The day before the backup date, the forecast changed to 100% chance of rain showers. Not cool. Knowing that we only had a few more days until the lights went off for the year, I came up with a new plan. We would meet fairly late at night Monday night on 34th street and get a few of the shots I had planned and that they wanted and then we’d do the daytime portion of the session when we had a time that worked for everyone.

Fast forward to last night and it all worked out! And thank goodness- this session turned out to be SO cool, and the only remaining day of lights was today!

Such a cute couple and they’re so cool too! I can’t wait to hang out with them again soon for part two of their engagement session. Enjoy our holiday themed, totally Baltimore engagement session!
