February 26, 2014 Lauren + Andrey | Baltimore Engagement Session
My favorite wedding consultations are the ones where I feel like I’m talking with old friends. I love it when I hit it off with the couple right away and even the groom is animated and excited about the conversation. Lauren and Andrey’s meeting with me was just like that. I remember being really impressed with how involved Andrey was in the wedding planning process and how excited he was to tell me about his proposal to Lauren. He also did an amazing job with Lauren’s stunning Tacori engagement ring! This week while emailing with Lauren and finalizing the plans for their engagement session, their excitement was contagious! I couldn’t wait to see them again and spend my evening with them!
Little did we know that their February engagement session would be a warm 50 degree and sunny day! I was so excited about the comfortable temps and the chance to be creative without feeling rushed by cold temperatures and frozen fingers. We started off atop Federal Hill, which was PACKED with people. I’ve never seen it that crowded! We only spent a few minutes up there before we headed down the hill to the American Visionary Art Museum.
Lauren’s ring is absolutely stunning. To say Andrey did a good job is an understatement. I’m obsessed.
Even the side has beautiful intricate detailing.
This is what most of the session looked like, smiles and laughter! They make my job easy.
I love these two. Right after the one on the right, Andrey blew in Lauren’s ear…
… and she busted out in laughter. They have so much fun together, it’s awesome!
So pretty!
I love these next three – especially the bottom one.
Lauren is gorgeous!
After finishing up at AVAM, we drove over to Pier 5 for the rest of the session, and the light was perfect. We got lucky with the perfect golden hour light and a gorgeous sunset. We also got to see a woman doing the macarena while walking around the lighthouse. Gotta love Baltimore! I still think we should have joined her.
Our “macarena” friend is off to the left in this shot by the sunflare in the water.
I am obsessed with basically all of these sunset/night shots!!
New favorite!
Lauren and Andrey, thanks so much for spending your evening with me! I had a blast hanging out and can’t wait to hang out with you again! We’re going to be BFFs by the time your wedding comes around!
