Katie and Ryan’s engagement session was SO much fun. We got to hang out at Liam Flynn’s, a bar local to them, and also the place they celebrated their engagement the night Ryan proposed… AND we also went to the incredibly fun Sculpture Garden at the Baltimore Museum of the Arts. I just absolutely loved how fun and different their engagement session ideas were and how they trusted me to just kind of run with it and have fun creatively! I had so much fun both in shooting this session and hanging out with these two, I’m sad I won’t have them in front of my camera again until next year!
We started off our session at the pub. I have to say, I was a little nervous at how these would turn out when they first told me the idea. But I was up for the challenge and loved getting to play with my lights to get a nice natural look indoors.
Love this with the jukebox!
They were even invited behind the bar by the owner himself! So fun!
Of course I had to get some shots outside the bar before we headed out. I love the color and the light was perfect!
We took a quick stroll to the smiley face mural before heading to the Baltimore Museum of the Arts. So cool. I love all of the efforts to transform Baltimore into a fun and beautiful place!
The last time I’d been to the Baltimore Museum of the Arts, I was a kid, so I honestly didn’t remember anything about it. I loved everything about the spot! The columns, the stairs, and don’t even get me started on the sculpture garden itself… so cool.
Love this! Katie, you are gorgeous!
I just love this shot of Katie’s engagement ring. It’s actually a moissanite instead of a diamond. I love the story behind moissanites, the stone was originally discovered inside an asteroid, so it’s really a space diamond! The brilliance of these in comparison to diamonds as well is just off the charts. So beautiful!
Did I mention that I loved the Sculpture Garden? I had so much fun getting to be creative while capturing these two and their amazing love!
How adorable are these two? I just love Katie’s dress.
After finishing up at the BMA we went across the street to Wyman Park, where the light was AMAZING. We got down there and Ryan asked if there was anything worth while… oh yes, yes there was.
Obsessed.
And to wrap up the post a couple more shots of Katie’s amazing ring!
Katie and Ryan, I had so much fun hanging out with you guys on Friday and I can’t wait to see you again!
This may be my favorite session of yours. You nailed the indoor lighting! I love all of these!
