I got to watch this love story unfold from the outside. I’ve known Eric since 2008, he met Erin in 2010. Eric is a hard worker and he loves his work. He puts everything into it and for that reason, many of us who worked with him, myself included, came to rely on him. Every weekend in Fall and even more often in Spring each year, I would work with Eric when on the video crew for the Towson University sporting events. He was always nice, reliable, and easy to talk to. But one day there was a very distinct change, in the way he carried himself, in the way he talked, in the way he was always smiling. I knew it was something big. It had to be a girl. Shortly after Eric tells me about this beautiful girl Erin that he met and had started dating. I watched the photos of them pop up on facebook, and could see how truly happy he was.
It wasn’t until they had gotten engaged and we met to talk about their wedding that I finally was able to meet Erin in person. Seeing the two of them together would make even the most cynical person believe in true love. I couldn’t imagine a pair better suited for each other. They complement each other perfectly and Eric just worships the ground that Erin walks on… and she reciprocates that love right back.
Being a part of their wedding day was truly special. It felt like being with family, because that’s how these two are, when you’re their friend, you get to feel that love too. And I feel so honored to be able to call them both my friends.
Eric and Erin were married at the absolutely stunning paradise in Maryland, Herrington on the Bay. I had been there once before to second shoot this winter, but man, it truly is a different place in summer. Gorgeous beaches, an amazing tropical feel, an adorable inn, and the perfect wedding venue. I want so badly to vacation here sometime this summer, even if just for a night or two. It’s so much closer than Ocean City and in my opinion, way better! So many amazing views and a perfect place to relax and soak up the sun.
I started my day off with Erin in the beautiful Shoreline suite and was able to take her dress out for some photos along the waterside.
I love this newspaper ring shot. Thanks to Eric for grabbing it for me!
So beautiful! She looked like a princess!
Seriously, Erin, you looked amazing! And so happy!
Dad agrees! His daughter is beautiful!
I just love all of these portraits of Erin.
Meanwhile, Jen was with Eric and the guys. They got baseball bats and caps for their groomsmen gifts. So fun!
As Erin walked down the aisle towards Eric he says to his best man, “I get to marry her? Man, I won the jackpot.”
Their beautiful personal vows reminded us of why these two are made to last, to infinity and beyond.
After the ceremony we got some portraits of someĀ of the most important people in their lives, family and bridal party!
And then it was time to focus in on the couple for a few! Thankfully these two were all about the photography and we were able to sneak out twice more, once for sunset photos and once for night shots- we got so many beautiful images, I’m still giddy thinking about it!
Look at how happy they are! I just love these two!
Fave!
The reception room at the Herrington Yacht Club was set up with so many special personal touches. Everything had meaning, and everything was perfect.
The cake topper featured the two of them, sporting their team’s baseball hats, and their beloved cat Evie!
In lieu of a guestbook, guests signed squares of fabric to be made into a quilt. There was a sign featuring a line from their first dance song, the bear that Eric proposed with, and a Disney’s Up! inspired mailbox as a card box.
Each table was named after an important place in their relationship complete with an explanation of its importance.
Guests received maple syrup as favors (the bride is from Vermont so she knows good syrup– I am also a syrup snob so I extra appreciated this), and had credentials to let them know their seats and the “guest code of conduct” which was essentially a list of ways to have fun! Having met Eric working sporting events and having to don similar credentials many, many times in my life, I loved this particular touch!
They danced their way into the reception and right into a sweet dance to Dolly Parton’s “Here to the Moon and Back”.
To kick off dinner, Erin’s dad gave a wonderful speech welcoming the guests and wishing Eric and Erin a lifetime of happiness.
During dinner we were able to go out and get some gorgeous shots with a view of the sunset.
Yep. Totally worth it.
Once back inside, great speeches all around.
There were very sweet parent dances…
… and a very polite cutting of the cake, despite the crowd egging them on to get messy ;)
Party time!!
Just before the end of the evening, I took them out for a few final night shots and we also got to play around with some sparklers. I couldn’t think of a better way to close out this already long photo blog :)
Eric and Erin, thank you so much for inviting me into your love story and having me by your side on such a beautiful day. I hope you love everything we came up with and I can’t wait for our dinner date later next month. Have a blast in Disney and have a Dole whip for me!

On this quiet Friday evening at work, I was catching on emails and opened this one from my colleague that was sent while I was on vacation. I really enjoyed seeing the pictures and I wish Erin a beautiful life with Eric. A lovely love story it is indeed!
