One of my favorite things about my job is that as friends get married, I get to be there by their side on their wedding day capturing those memories for them. Matt and I met in 2008 when we worked at Apple and he’s actually one of the people who first encouraged me and helped me grow my love of photography from more than just a hobby into something more. I even shot my first wedding that year by his side for one of his family members when I knew nothing about wedding photography. It was that first experience that planted a little bud in my head that would eventually blossom into this amazing passion of mine, capturing love stories.

When Matt and Shannon came to my office to discuss their wedding it was my first time meeting Shannon. Immediately I loved her personality and knew that we’d become good friends too. Watching these two together makes me so happy. They’re perfect for each other and I’m so happy I’ll be by their side on their big day next year!

Last night we got together for their engagement session at Weber’s Farm in Parkville. I loved this spot! Such a great location for an engagement session!

I love how during this entire first series Shannon kept saying how awkward they were and how awkward she felt- but that laughter made for the cutest photos. Love how that works out :)

It didn’t take long for them to warm up and within minutes they were absolute pros! Shannon, you’re gorgeous!

I love their love! So much fun, so happy!
