Quentin + Summer!

December 23, 2014 Quentin + Summer!

Two weeks ago, I photographed these beautiful babies for their debut photo session. Their adjusted age at that point was somewhere around 3 weeks, but these little lovelies entered the world much earlier than that. As a matter of fact, they’re already over four months old. The day before their baby shower, my sister-in-law, their amazing mother, had a complete shock when she realized that at 25 weeks and 3 days pregnant, her water broke. She was admitted into the hospital and they were to keep her there until the babies came, however long that would take. At 26 weeks, they entered the world. These sweet munchkins have had their fair share of fight to face. Through it all, they’ve proven time and again that they are strong.

I’m so happy I was able to capture this time in their lives for their amazing momma and papa!

Although these little nuggets are so small, they still act in some ways like newborns, and in other ways like the four month olds they really are. On this particular day, Summer was especially cooperative and slept the entire session away, allowing for the curly baby sleepy poses. Quentin, however, was all about the lights and the camera and was far too interested in what was going on around him to rest even for a moment. See? Very alert!

He loves to lay on his belly and look at the world around him.

Summer was the complete opposite. She was all snoozes!
