Maureen and John have something truly special. I fell in love with them from the very first moment I met them. You can feel their love in every little interaction. They adore each other in a way that you can’t be in their presence without a smile on your face. They’re truly special. Their love story is the making of a romantic novel – as told by John and Maureen themselves:
“On September 20, 2014, John and Maureen met on a group wine tour from Fells Point to Maryland Wine Festival in Westminster. Being new to town, Maureen went in hopes of making new friends. On a recommendation from a coworker, John broke his normal stride and also joined the group. John and Maureen spent most of the day together. He remembers her as pretty, personable and friendly; she thought he was funny and nice.
After returning back to Fells, Maureen was ready to go home for the night. Her new friends insisted that she say goodnight to John first, so she agreed to go to The Pointe to say goodnight. Upon seeing her, John asked “Where have you been all my life?” “Really? You’re going to use that line?” she asked. “You’re right; that was pretty bad… When was the last time you went to Sound Garden?” “What’s Sound Garden?” Then John took Maureen by the hand and led her down to the record store, which was quite appropriate after they spent much time talking about their favorite bands and concerts.
As he politely walked her home, John squeezed her hand “Wow. Stuff like this, just doesn’t happen to me!” As Maureen smirked, she knew what he meant, this was something special. The rest is history in the making…”
And on Friday, they started their lives together as husband and wife at St. Leo the Great in Little Italy – and a beautiful celebration at the Mansion at Valley Country Club! It was such a beautiful day, for two amazing people inside and out. Without any further ado, a few of my favorites from their happiest day.
