I’m so excited to share Ashley and Will’s Elkridge Furnace Inn wedding! Ashley and Will have an easy, comfy love, and a fun story to go along with it. What a gorgeous fall day for two fantastic people to get married.
The Couple
Ashley visited Sara, one of her best friends, at Salisbury University for her 21st birthday. During this visit, Sara threw a party where Ashley ultimately met Will. At the party, Ashley was cold, and Will being the gentleman that he is let her borrow a pair of sweatpants. Ashley fully intended to take the pants home as an excuse to see him again, but on the morning she was heading home, Will pantsed her to get his sweats back! (Don’t worry, folks, she was wearing shorts underneath.) On their first official date, Will gifted Ashley the sweatpants, a cozy artifact of their relationship that Ashley still wears fondly. They got engaged in April of 2015 while they were visiting DC. Ashley kept thinking Will would pop the question, but after a whole day of disappointing cherry blossoms and museum visits and gardens, she was convinced it wasn’t going to happen. Finally, walking past a fountain on the way to one of their favorite restaurants, Will pulled out the ring and asked her to marry him!
The Wedding
When you look through the photos from Ashley and Will’s Elkridge Furnace Inn wedding, you won’t need me to tell you that it was a fun, joyous occasion. “Joy” is the word that most comes to mind when I think of their day. The joy on their faces when they saw each other for the first time, the joy on Ashley’s dad’s face when he saw his baby girl as a bride for the first time, the joy on grandma’s face after the ceremony… the list goes on and on. Ashley and Will were bubbling over with excitement all day and it was absolutely contagious! One of the happiest days I’ve ever documented, for a couple I totally adore on the blog today. Here are just a few of my favorites.

You always see engagement photos at PVSP but never wedding portraits. I love that! The last photo….it’s beautiful, and yet kind of spooky in a really cool way….just so incredibly creative! Perfect for Fall!
That last photo gave me amazing chills! So awesome. I love all the real-ness captured in this celebration.
