Georgetown University + Army Navy Country Club Wedding | Kelleigh + Kevin

October 20, 2016

Weddings

Kelleigh and Kevin’s Georgetown University and Army Navy Country Club wedding was as glamorous as it was full of fun. There was lots of love going on throughout the day, and it was exciting to see them celebrate with so many of their family and friends.

The Couple

Kelleigh and Kevin met at a bar in DC only to have Kelleigh leave for a two-week vacation in Europe. They kept in touch while Kelleigh was away, and when she came back, they went on their first official date. Since then, it’s been races, baseball, and vineyards for these two.

The years leading up to their engagement, Kevin and Kelleigh had a long-standing joke. Whenever it was clearly an awful time to propose, Kevin would say, “Now’s as good a time as any!” Think being drenched in sweat at the end of a run or after having an argument. Which was why Kelleigh was confused when he said it on a beautiful Sunday morning while walking along the Georgetown waterfront. She didn’t see the irony. This time, Kevin was serious, and he picked the perfect moment. He even asked Kelleigh’s parents for their blessing three months before, and they all kept it a secret.

The Wedding

Kelleigh and Kevin were married at Georgetown University’s gorgeous Dahlgren Chapel. Kelleigh was the happiest bride of all time. She was absolutely beaming all day. Given the smiles on the faces of their family and friends, it’s clear that her excitement was contagious. We couldn’t have asked for a more beautiful sunset leading up to their reception at the Army Navy Country Club. The party got crazy as the night went on and everyone was dancing up a storm! It was hard to narrow it down to just a few, but here are some of my favorites.

There is so much to love in here but I think my favorite is the bubble exit from the church – such a perfect moment and so beautiful! Not to mention that incredible sunset silhouette with the veil blowing… it almost doesn’t look real!
