Julia and Brad’s wedding at the Maryland Zoo in Baltimore from this past Saturday was quite possibly the most fun we’ve ever had at a wedding. They are hilarious and well… Buckle up, y’all, this is a weird one.

The Couple

From Brad: “We met online four years ago, and had our first date shortly after at a tea shop in Columbia Heights. Despite the two of us being insanely busy with work and internships during the first few months we knew each other, we always managed to make time for one another every weekend. We moved in together about a year later and have yet to look back.”

There’s also a spectacular story about hearing gunshots during an early date and Brad tackling Julia to the ground… but we’ll leave the more tame story here :)

The Wedding

You may remember Julia and Brad from their equally (wonderfully) weird engagement session at the Natural History Museum. Little did I know then, that there was a theme that carried over from that session to the wedding – DINOSAURS. Jurassic Park music during the ceremony – an adorably dressed Julia and Brad pair of dinos – and little touches elsewhere as well. The groom and groomsmen also wore kilts, and mooned Tommy for a photo… which he saw more than just butts (you’ll see a behind the scenes photo here of them all laughing after Tommy showed them the photo). What I loved most about this day was how completely and totally authentic it was. They were their weird selves. And if you can’t be yourself on your wedding day – you’re doing it wrong. Get ready for photo overload… it was a good one.
