In over 30 years of living near DC, this was only the second time I’ve actually seen the cherry blossoms in bloom. It was also only my first time actually making it down during cherry blossom period for an engagement session. In previous years, timing just never seemed to work out. Thankfully for Molly and Martin we got super lucky! We were even a full week past peak bloom!
We started our morning off near the Lincoln memorial for sunrise- a location that was very special to them, and then worked our way around the tidal basin in search of the best blossoms with the least crowds. We had an amazing time hanging out with these two- and even crashing their post-session breakfast date :) Here are a few of our faves!
oh my gosh, that dipping kissing pic with the monument in the background – stellar!! you nailed this session w/the beautiful light & blossoms & fun faces! :D
Gorgeous!! I really love the joggers photo bombing your Washington Monument image… it’s really pretty great!! But the last image is framed perfectly and so beautiful!! Everything about this session is perfect!!
