November 14, 2019 Maria + Stephen | Georgetown Waterfront Engagement Photos | Washington, DC
Maria and Stephen’s engagement session was our last one until after Thanksgiving, ending what felt like a forever streak. Starting in April, ending in mid-November, with only two weekends off. Although that burn out life is very real, I was extra looking forward to this session. Maria is the sweetest and we’ve been emailing for so long now it felt like we had already met! Hanging out with her and Steve was effortless. This entire session was so laid back and fun, and they humored me while I played around and got creative.
But really, the MVP of this session is Maria’s dad. He came as their dog wrangler, and usually I don’t recommend having the family member or friend stay the whole time, but in this case, it ended up being the. best. Maria’s dad and their dog Dobby are the best of friends. Neither of them seemed to care much about anything other than enjoying their time with each other… cuddling, chasing after squirrels, and enjoying the long walk we took them on. It was the cutest thing ever. Towards the end of the session, Maria’s mom joined up with us too and we were able to get a family photo of the whole bunch together with a terrified looking Dobby, the perfect end cap to a lovely evening. Here are a few of our favorites from our time together!
