Katie and Jamel had a New Year’s Eve Wedding at the Belvedere and it was the best possible way to ring in a new year and decade!
The Couple
Katie and Jamel have known of each other for much longer than it took for their story to truly begin. To hear Katie’s Maid of Honor, Callie, tell it: there was something there from the beginning. But it would be a few more years before they connected and a spark would ignite setting them on the path towards a relationship. Fast forward several years and Jamel surprises Katie with an incredible all day scavenger hunt, with friends and family delivering each clue. The day ending at the football field where they first met, and a “yes!”
The Wedding
2019 has been a long but amazing year. We could have easily been looking forward to our New Year’s Eve wedding because it marked the end of a crazy year and the start of a few months of rest… But the real reason we’ve been highly anticipating this wedding all year is Katie and Jamel. They are the coolest, most down to earth people, and being in their presence is a joy. Their friends are their chosen family and their families are as close as friends. I honestly can’t think of a better way to usher in a new decade than to be at an epic party doing what we love for truly wonderful people. It was one of our best days of 2019, and set a very high bar for 2020. Here are the highlights!
