Carisa and Joe were married this past weekend at Ceresville Mansion in Frederick, Maryland!
The Couple
From the couple: “We met on the volleyball court! Joe was recruited to sub on Carisa’s work league team by a mutual friend. Joe was just barely good enough that Carisa didn’t kick him off the team (ha ha!) Sometimes the team would meet socially during the season (Happy hours, etc.). Joe once mentioned going to see an anime movie, and Carisa seized a chance to join. We often look back at that as our first date. We bonded over a lot of our loves: volleyball, movies, and food and drink. Carisa taught Joe a lot about wine, taking him on trips to local vineyards. And we finally had our first kiss after one fateful visit to Elk Run. Joe proposed to Carisa on Valentine’s day, tricking her into thinking they would be going somewhere fancy, when really, using all that he had learned, had prepared a homemade meal and wine pairings. It turned out perfect!”
The Wedding
Carisa and Joe’s Ceresville Mansion wedding was our first big full day wedding of the year. (Despite the fact that July should have been our halfway point.) It took us many months to get to this point and it was well worth the wait, for the best couple to kick off the year with. Carisa and Joe are so sweet and family oriented and this day just felt like a big warm (socially distanced) hug. We were honored to share this space with them and capture such a beautiful beginning.
