I’m so excited to share this engagement session on the blog today! Back in March I got an email from Ricky about photographing a proposal for him. This was SUPER early in the pandemic, and right before everything got shut down. They had planned on going to Europe this year and he wanted to propose there, but as it looked like that wouldn’t be happening anytime soon, he pivoted. They went hiking at Lake Roland with their awesome puppers Wally, and I captured the moment from a distance for them :)
Fast forward a few weeks and they’ve already got a wedding date and venue, and ask me to shoot their wedding too! As Emily said, when you’re stuck at home in a pandemic, there’s nothing but time to plan your wedding.
This past weekend we got together again for their engagement session and it was so much fun! Originally we were thinking we would need to reschedule due to weather, but we ended up getting pretty lucky. The rain held out just long enough for us to hit all the spots we wanted, and opened up right at the end for some magical final photos. I had so much fun hanging out with Ricky and Emily and getting to know them a little better. They are so sweet and fun and 100% my kind of weird. I can’t wait for their wedding next summer!
