Sabrina and Ken’s wedding at Herrington on the Bay this past weekend was a beautiful, intimate celebration with just their wonderful families in attendance. I’m excited to share highlights on the blog today!

The Couple

From the bride: “We met 7.5 years ago through work, we started cycling together after he gave me some recommendations because I was new to the area and that’s his jam, we became really close friends, both got divorced a few years apart, fell in love… He proposed in Havana, Cuba in November 2018, at sunset behind El Castillo del Morro… I was taking pictures of the city on the edge of the cliff and calling to him to come over because I had such a great angle and when I turned around he was a few yards back, down on one knee on the seriously rough cliff, waiting for me to notice. :) I said yes, we ended up on a strange adventure with a hired driver that would not leave us for more than a few minutes at a time the entire visit to the castle, then took us to a restaurant that was teeming with chickens roaming around to celebrate… the absolute craziest night. We enjoyed an amazing week of vacation with no cell service and virtually no wifi and just enjoyed our little engagement secret, then flew home and didn’t really tell anyone outside of immediate family for a few more weeks. It was awesome.”

The Wedding

Sabrina and Ken’s wedding this past weekend gave me all of the warm and fuzzies. I love the way they look at each other, and how clearly they absolutely adore each other. I love that their kids also adore each other and are excited to be a family. The best part about photographing small weddings like this, for me, is being able to capture so much love. And at this wedding there was no shortage of it. Here are just some of the highlights :)
