Last year I got to celebrate Halloween with Kara and Kyle at their backyard wedding ceremony, this year, we got to do it all over again at the Vandiver Inn with all of their family and friends.

The Couple

From Kara: “We met on Tinder on Halloween almost four years ago. We went on a date the next weekend. The first thing I thought was s*** he’s tall! We ended up talking for five hours straight and neither one of us wanted to part ways. We soon had a second date two days later and haven’t spent a night apart since. Two and half years later laying in bed and joking around he proposed. It was perfect, no big show and no pressure. It was just the two of us and our cat. Another year and another cat later we are preparing our next step in our lives together. We are now approaching are one year anniversary and since the pandemic didn’t allow for all our loved ones to join us for the official wedding we are having a post wedding party.”

The Wedding

Last year, I had the honor of being a part of Kyle and Kara’s intimate backyard wedding celebration. That night was filled with so much love and happy tears, and of course, the best costumes. I was greatly looking forward to a round two with these incredible humans, and seeing it all come together. This time, Kara wore a totally different costume (as she said, last year was more ‘princess’ and this year more ‘Maleficent’ which is AMAZING) and so did many of the guests! It was so awesome seeing all of their people go ALL IN on their costumes. This day was SO much fun and filled with so much love. It was the perfect counterpart to the small celebration last year, and I’m so happy I got to be a part of both. Here are just some of my favorites.
