Taylor and Andy were married this past weekend in the most feel-good heartwarming beautiful wedding ever this past weekend and I’m so excited to share the highlights on the blog today!
The Couple
“We met in high school through a funny series of online interactions. Andy was too shy to say anything in person, so we originally got to know each other over anonymous messaging. I (Taylor) was clever enough to find out who he was (he gave me ample hints), and the rest is history! This will be our tenth year together, and we’ve grown so much over the years. The engagement was one of the most beautiful days. It was at Bluemont Vineyards in Virginia where he pulled off a perfectly executed surprise engagement. We were able to celebrate with close friends all throughout the day. We’ve been looking forward to this wedding for almost three years now and can’t wait!”
The Wedding
I want to preface this by saying I really, really love my job. It’s such an honor to bear witness to intimate, beautiful moments in people’s lives every weekend, and it genuinely never gets old. Every so often, there is a couple with a beautiful, deep connection that is so healing and restorative and good for the soul, helping to renew that excitement for what we do because we get to be a part of something so special. Taylor and Andy embody that feeling. Individually, they are kind and warm and wonderful. Together, they are magic. I lost count of how many times I cried at their wedding, it was all so beautiful.
Taylor and Andy were married on the balcony outside of the cafe at the American Visionary Art Museum in a beautifully personal and heartfelt ceremony. Their reception was cocktail-style with delicious food from Hoopla Catering (The Food Market/La Food Marketa’s catering company!) with games, our photo booth, and great company. It was so much fun and the perfect way to celebrate an amazing couple. Here are just some of my favorites!
